I get what you're saying, sending as printed papers but writing "laptop" on the customs declaration may get twigged by the post office worker.. but it may not. ..and if it's not?
What's the difference? I mean, if the weight and dimensions are fine (I'm thinking of sending an old laptop) - what's wrong with sending it as International Signed For Printed Papers?
And in that did I say I would make a false declaration?0 -

Never mind, you go ahead and send a laptop in a jiffy bag to Russia as printed paper. I'd also appreciate it if you would edit your posts where you accused me of saying something that I didn't.0 -
I won't, on account of the advice received on this thread.
Please don't assume that I am stupid.

You were planning on sending a laptop as printed paper, that's what your question was. How can that be misinterpreted?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. These guys are the gurus on couriers..it is worth asking on the thread but give them a weight and dimensions of the wrapped item. Also give them an idea of what you need insurance wise.
