Four - why does that make a difference?

they only allow 4 it would appear

but you tried 4 anyway :(

sorry you couldnt get what you wanted

why dont you do as someone else suggested? and find a park nearest to the Butlins sites and then just pay to visit Butlins for the day/s?

    xx

Works out more expensive then and the kids want to go to Butlins - all is not lost though as I am going to use my Tesco vouchers to go there instead

It was my suggestion but I haven't actually done it so I don't know what time they open the gate to let people pay to come in, or how much they charge. I have seen leaflets in service stations before, for kids go free and I think the adult charge was £15 but I could be wrong - often am, my memory is terrible.

i made enquiries last year to see how much it would cost and the chances of getting in minehead on a day pass they said that during the half term and summer time it depends on how full the site is as they are only allowed a certain number of visitors they said that i would have to call the morning of when i wanted to go in order for them to check their capacity, needless to say i did not bother - luckily i live only an hour away however no one in their right mind is going to phone at 8 and then get on the road half the day will be gone. my neice and nephew were disappointed

when we stayed @ Minehead in october ( not a sun holiday)

my mum and dad were staying nearby in their touring caravan, and came to visit on a few days

they were able to get their day entry half price, because we were staying there ! :)

i think it was 9.30am til 6pm you can stay there ( BUT mum stayed late one night ,til 9pm i think ,who's to know?!!)

As you went in October one would imagine it would have been easier to go in on a day pass however if anyone is thinking of trying to get in on a day pass in the school holidays i would say you have little chance. I wanted to go on a bank holiday monday.

  • Without stating the obvious - but what booking ref number are we up to now? Since all reservations booked so far have used combination of internet & 'guesswork' to pre-empt publication of 8th code word, will 'they' be looking at this as a problem or 'opportunity'?
  • really that was good then that they got in maybe next time i will try later in the year i think we were being too optimistic to get in on the Aug Bank Hol
