I have been with AOL for 3 years and always been reasonably happy with thier help lines etc however, for the past 3 months I have had problems accessing sercure sites which is costing me money as I cannot order stuff cheaply on line. I have contacted AOL numerous times only to be told We are aware of the situation, we have a serious problem with the server, we have technicians working day and night to try to correct the fault, we do apologise! Apology not accepted, I paid PC Callout to try to fix the problem they didnt but charged me #89.00 and put a temporary ISP supplier on (without my permission). I very nearly threw the PC out of the window yesterday I got so frustrated. I think AOL should offer me a refund as they are not fulfilling their agreement, would I be in my rights to insist on this? Has anyone else had this problem if so, how did you sort it?

when you log into AOL.. do not use the AOL browser, use use a seperate one.. I.E or Fire Fox..The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

hi...I've been with aol for years and not experienced this problem. Are you on Broadband or dial up?If you have your aol disc...why not try uninstalling aol and installing it again.(That's normally their standard response to a problem anyway!!!!) Good Luck0

Hello
We have been with aol for about 3 years and we recently had the same problem, not able to access secure websites
The helpline offered some advice but none of this helped.
I went onto the aol messge boards and was advised to go to keyword and type in the word secure fix, this helped with the aol browser, and we were able to access secure sights.
This did not help with firefox or I E but we got there in the end and it was our router, we have a wireless connection, somehow the settings had been changed on that !!. It took ages to sort out but everything is fine thanks goodness
Really hope this helps you.
