Many thanks for this. I have wanted one of these for years but never quite had enough nerve to pay the £90 odd most places were asking. Instead I have made do with a 15 year old plastic bin which slowly has driven me mad. I ordered one as soon as I saw your post!

I tried own-brand ones, but they split on me.

50L of rubbish is heavy & the real brabantia bags are very strong.

I've been using by bin for the last 2 months, and have been using asda's make on the bin bags.....no splits so far! Still on my first pack too.

Lidl's bags are good for these bins. £2.99 for 20, and very strong. They have tie-pulls and you can get the bags in black or white.

Seems to be OOS now at Dyas
  • bought mine for under £25 last year from amazon.

    TOP TIP
i lined it with one of the proper bags that came with the bin, but use tesco value ones inside it, as yet the tesco value ones havnt split, but then i dont overfill them.

at least if the value bag does split, im not left with a bin to clean..
