SE K800i small MMS pictures recieved - help!!

just got a SE K800i and love it and can take great photos and send them no problems to friends phones, but when i recieve a MMS from anyone the picture is auto scaleddown to about 2 or 3 KB, which is tiny, any ideas what im doing wrong? or how to rectify it please?
