The Compers Inn - Part 11

I like the idea of a slow cooker as sometimes I'm not well enough to stand at the cooker to do a meal - I have to stick to 700/800 calories a day though (for 3 years now :rolleyes:) so I can't have potatoes or bread as they usually put me over - are there many meat/veg recipes that are filling enough to have on their own without spuds in? Or wouldn't it be worth it for me?
I do get sick of salad and stir fry! :rotfl::rotfl:Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

off shopping now
That sounds even better than the Winter Wonderland box!Well done. If you're not addicted to Lush already, you certainly will be now. I'd decided Lush was too pricey for me but I was given some free soap samples in store a couple of years ago and now I regularly try not too spend too much money in there. (See if you can persuade your DD to get a job as a Lush store assistant - I hear they get a 50% discount.
)
Enjoy!0 -

Lush stuff is so nice - the product we store at my work goes into them

Hey cheeky,
How are you feeling now?
There's plenty you can cook, the beauty is you can just chuck any old veg and meat into some stock with some seasoning and maybe a tin of tomatoes and they all come out lovelyThe beef casserole I had last night had dumplings in it too and came out at around 270 calories and I was stuffed after a small bowl (I've got about 5 portions left!). Can you eat chickpeas and pulses etc? Because there are tons of recipes for them as the slow cooker is perfect for cooking them. They come out so soft with out the usual effort of boiling them for hours and they are full of protein and low in fat and really bulk out a meal with minimal calories. Plus the £13 argos cooker is a bargain.
