Hey cheeky,
How are you feeling now?
There's plenty you can cook, the beauty is you can just chuck any old veg and meat into some stock with some seasoning and maybe a tin of tomatoes and they all come out lovelyThe beef casserole I had last night had dumplings in it too and came out at around 270 calories and I was stuffed after a small bowl (I've got about 5 portions left!). Can you eat chickpeas and pulses etc? Because there are tons of recipes for them as the slow cooker is perfect for cooking them. They come out so soft with out the usual effort of boiling them for hours and they are full of protein and low in fat and really bulk out a meal with minimal calories. Plus the £13 argos cooker is a bargain.

Hey Cheeky,
It's this one ... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4225173/Trail/searchtext%3ESLOW+COOKER.htm ... Chilli would be great in there, I put mine on low and left it for 10 hours yesterday :rotfl: ... Took about 10 mins to chop veg and chuck everything in then I came home to a ready cooked dinnerand the £13 won't make much of a dent on your £200! Hurrah!

I do think on my 'bad' days it would be good for me though, I can sit down at the kitchen table to do any chopping or slicing, and no standing over hot pans! Why didn't they invent these years ago??

Hello everyone. Just read back through all the posts and made little mental notes of who to thank, congratulate, send hugs to etc as I went along, but it comes to writing and my head is empty. It's a real problem caused by the stress, so all I can do is apologise and please don't think I am ignorant
Wokkies win comes to mind, that's a fantastic one. I just hope you don't become addicted. Not sure whether you saw my post last week on the lush thread but a woman at Lush told me the comp is definitely continuing but they are changing the prizes, so loads more passing to come :j
I have tried to claim benefit, but they really do make you jump through so many hoops you feel like giving up. I am signed off for a long time as I am sure you can understand, and straight away they rang this morning talking about interviews to get me back to work!!!! Wanted to tell them thats pretty difficult as not only do I struggle to go out, but I don't even leave our lounge as the rest of the house reminds me of LO. I am only claiming on my contributions and I know the poor staff are just doing their jobs, but it stinks!
And...... they want me to have another assessment with LO on Saturday. We cannot bring her home, it has to be outdoors somewhere (!) and as we both have to go we have to find childcare for the other kids and the stroppy teenager (she's an angel really) is most aggrieved as she was meeting friends this weekend. Not that the system gives a damn. Feel so up and down over it, in many ways would be lovely to just move on but this is a holding pattern of pain.
But, won a Lush soap this morning, no idea who from but my guess is Snidely as he was flinging at the time. So, not all bad
Love to you all, and sending magic comping win dust your way.But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0
