I have a Puma too and it costs me a fair bit of money but no major repair costs - what has went wrong with yours?

    She already has a Fiesta.

A fiesta engine she has, not the shell and the mechanics.

So in every technical way it's not a fiesta :D

i think youve got it the wrong way around, the puma had a 1.7 engine which never featured in any fiesta.
the puma did share the same floor pan and chassis of the fiesta and probably a few other bits. handles brilliantly and lots of fun to drive, more fun than a ka i would imagine.

  • From reading all the posts, I rekon I should keep what I have.

It's true, it handles really well & is powerful for it's size.

    This year I've:

    Re-newed cam belt
    New front shocks
    New exhaust
    New clutch
Sorted out a brake fluid leak issue

    Then the usual:
    Tyres
    Oil change x 2
    Re-newed wiper blades

There's probably more, just can't remember it all.

From all of the above - it should mean that you will have a light year next year and possibly after that. Its maintenance and all cars will hit heavy on the pocket now and again as they get older.

There's nothing out of the ordinary there, just normal maintenance and replacement of wear and tear items.

Doesn't sound a duff motor to me.
