i think youve got it the wrong way around, the puma had a 1.7 engine which never featured in any fiesta.
the puma did share the same floor pan and chassis of the fiesta and probably a few other bits. handles brilliantly and lots of fun to drive, more fun than a ka i would imagine....work permit granted!0 -
Definetely more fun than a ka or any other car I have driven.. but the Puma did also come with 1.4 and 1.6 engines

From reading all the posts, I rekon I should keep what I have.
It's true, it handles really well & is powerful for it's size.
This year I've:
Re-newed cam belt
New front shocks
New exhaust
New clutch
Sorted out a brake fluid leak issue
Then the usual:
Tyres
Oil change x 2
Re-newed wiper blades
There's probably more, just can't remember it all.0 -

From all of the above - it should mean that you will have a light year next year and possibly after that. Its maintenance and all cars will hit heavy on the pocket now and again as they get older.Genie

There's nothing out of the ordinary there, just normal maintenance and replacement of wear and tear items.
Doesn't sound a duff motor to me.0
