  • hiya mummy, another person on here has done the a+l one and you can put in and take out the £500, it doesnt have to be in there all the time so think will apply and then when have got the cashback close the account.
Have to be organised now with money as look what mess this month has been as soon as i took my eye off the ball!!!
my thinking is if i write it down on here then i have to stick to it.
    hope the snow was good?!

  • ok, so have applied for the A&L account.........and was accepted!!!!!! yay!!!!! should hopefully get the £50 cashback, and am still gonna use it to put the extra money in, as long as i put £500 in then it should be good (loophole says i can put the money in and withdraw it out and still meet the criteria)

Will wait till i get the account details and then will withdraw the tenner i have on one of the scratchcards into the account as a start!!

Well was very good today and walked to asda for free exercise (half an hours walk each way) but now in a little pain with my pubic bone.......will go see the gp me thinks and get referred to physio's to get it sorted!! need to if i am to continue with the walking when ds1 is at nursery. hoping it will restart my weight loss!!

Have changed some of my standing orders today so that are going out a day or two after i have been paid. trying to get all the bills to come out at the start of the month so know how much i have left and can build the bank balance back up.

not sure how i am gonna manage paying for the childcare from next month, the childminder likes to be paid monthly and at the start of the month, which is the end of my pay month (?) and already have the mortgage and things coming out. I know the tax credits are paying some towards it but i get that weekly, and still need to find the first £800 or so.............

    Morning Rags!!

With the A&L account, is it the offer where A&L give you £100 as well - or does the cashback cancel that out? (still getting my head round bits and pieces!!)

Well done on the debt busting this month - you are steaing ahead!! I withdraw £60 a week, which is all my spending (diesel, cigs, half of the food and £10 for entertainment!) Usually find it ok - apart from the past couple of weeks - but back on a spending diet as from today!!!

Have a great weekend, Nats x

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!
  • Good morning everyone!!!!!
woohoo1.gifThis is me this morning as if everything goes to plan i will have made £170 cashback in 2 days!!!!!!! :T I have been accepted for the bank account for the £50 cashback (natsplant, i think they give you £100 if you move all your direct debits and stuff to that account) and have just found an pffer from vodafone for a sim only, pay them £20 a month and get 600 mins and unlimiyted texts!!!!! i have got that tarriff and pay £45!!!!! We are cancelling my fellas second phone that was costing £45 so he will then have this new sim card so instead of his phones costing nearly £100 a month, it will cost £65!!!!!! Just a shame i cant apply for it too and reduce my phone bill as i dont really use my minutes, have about 5 months left on my contract..........dont think the offer will still be there when i need it!!

so that should be £170 cashback for my extra money account plus the £10 from one of the scratchcards and in the next week or so will have another £10 from my fella's scratchcards!! £190 in total!!!! dont know how much i want to save before i pay a lump sum off.............my overdraft is the highest interest once i will have moved the hbos and next account to 0% so may save to clear that, then save to pay extra on the loan. or should i pay off the cc's whilst they are 0%???????? what would you all do??

my god, the biggest decision in my life used to be what shoes to buy next.........how times have changed!!!! ha ha ha!!

  • not dfw stuff but ds2 has just learned how to spit his food everywhere!!!!!!! thought i would at least have a few more months before the fun and games started!!!

just been to the market and got loads for £8 and then ventured into the butchers and got a huge gammon joint for £7 (hardly any fat on it!!) felt a little daft in the butchers as didnt really know what to say.......

also went to the stork exchange thios morning (it where people donate baby stuff they no longer want and they sell it cheap for them) they didnt have a bath seat that i wanted nor the bouncer that hangs from the door frame. :(
ended up with a clock that will help ds1 learn to tell the time and a toy that helps ds2 sit up on his own (needed at the mo as he hates lying down!!!)

hopefully tomorrow will be a nsd??!!!!

  • Found another diary someone using tickers to help show progress with their debt so here is mine for paying off £4k in 2009, hoping it will motivate me:
    debt.png

Still a way to go but im off the mark, will be able to pay more off next week after i have been paid as will have knocked off another £100 on the egg card and £100 for mil, and think the loan will still be going out next month so will have paid over the £333 i need to meet my target with paying £424.80 ish!!!! not including money made from ebay, overtime etc....... well over my target!!!!!!!

thinking i am just going to put the money we get extra straight to debts so we have no temptation to spend it (i know we will) the cashback from the a+l bank account hasnt tracked yet, it has only been a day or two so will give it a while more yet........ least when i get all the cashback it will be a chunk to pay off!!!

  • pinkie.gifGood morning everyone, hope you are all having a nice weekend?!

Well i had a nice suprise this morning, got ds2's walker from in front of the front door and there was yesterdays post (completly forgot to look for any yesterday) and there was my fella's egg card and wage slips!!! in with his wage slips was a cheque for £16 for one mornings overtime and another cheque for £80 which the payroll says is from last year!!!!!!!! which means we are still owed another £80 for overtime!!!! and my fella is working overtime today so loads of extra money coming in.........yay.gif
can now get the car fixed with the suprise £80 and use the other £80 for buying car seats needed for when i go back to work and then throw the rest at the debts!!!!
also need to buy new work pants and shoes but will hunt around for them and see if i can get the cashback???? ooh, that means the £64 or so from today can also go to the debts............have met and smashed my target of £333 for this month!!!!!!yahoo.gif

Have transfered the hbos card to the new egg card but my fella will have to ring up to transfer the next account as it has letters in it so they process it different. Updated my sig........has made me very happy today as not been able to update it for a while......hi5.gif

i get paid on tues so will be able to make the extra payments to mil and the egg card, all my cashback amounts including the a+l one are now tracking so can add that to march's? target of £333, will also not have the loan and council tax repayments so that will also help bring the other debts down a bit more.....

going to ring the tax credit people tomorrow and see if they can pay me all my tax credits monthly so i dont have to find as much money to pay the childminder up front.......not sure if they do this but god loves a tryer and if you dont ask you dont get..............fingers crossed!!!

Ds2 has now moved on to the follow on milk (my baby's all grown up :( ) but is actually sleeping better now and not as cranky through the day, obviously needed that extra bit that his first milk and food alone werent giving him.

Ds1 stopped at his grandads last night and not back yet and ds2 is having his morning nap, should get on with some cleaning but really cant be bothered so am going for a coffee.gifinstead. Forcast is for heavy snow this afternoon:D we shall see!snow.png

    take care everyone,
    love rags
    xxxxxxx
