i've gone for the toshiba 40" with the really really thin bezel around it... the actual physical size of the tv, is around that of a 37", so from your point of view, it would actually be the same size, it is just the screen inside the plastic which is bigger..

£599, but you get a free stand which you don't need, but is a really nice tv..

If your gonna go for 42" go for the Pana Plasma mentioned above.

If LCD I would get the Sony 40W4000 for around £650, one of the best LCD's around. or Sony 40V4000 for £500 which is also very good and I personally have one.
  • All I can say is go to the shops and see the TVs for yourself.

We bought the 37 inch plasma a month ago and I love it and do not regret it for a second. I watch SD 99% of the time and I found the Plasma to be better picture quality than most LCDs. And the LCDs I did like were £300-400 more expensive.

A psp would look awful on a big screen

The PSP outputs 480p with its component video cables. It's doesn't look too bad at all.

Im aware of the ouputs. I was more talking about the fact the salesmen (Well he probably said PS3, but ill carry on) said 1080P would benefit

I always wanted to connect mine up but its a bit to much of a ball ache :p

Id phone them first if I were you as theyve just had a mas sale on (Possibly still on?), so they cleared a LOT of stock.

Most tvs arent set up right in the shops and there are FAR too many variables with seeing them in the shops.
