    GOD I NEED NEW FURNITURE!
OH goes APE if I throw any of his stuff out!

I can relate to both these sentiments, just wondering whether OH will suggest going to look at the pine place we want some units from. More expense to add to the £3300 for the new suite we would like as ours is grim, and £1500 for the new TV he wants (and hasnt got yet for those of you remembereing the conversation before xmas!)

    right am gone this time

Just had call from MIL, they are trying to sell their dutch barge which is in France at the moment,. they got an email a few weeks ago from a guy in Dubai who said he'd send them a cheque for it asap, it's now with a gatwick courier company who want to deliver Friday. They have spoken on the phone but after the offer, he hasn't asked many questions and his company is something Shipping something or other...
All seems a bit fishy to me.
    Dubai?
    Shipping companies?
    Couriers?
    Or am I just cynical?

Hmmm, anyway she's coming over later so better get a crack on with the List.
OH still in bed "ill" (nothing to do with the 18 hour drink binge saturday night!) I am not best pleased as he had time off last week too and we really cannot afford it, so far this week we have earned £50, with possibly another £80 Friday. Not a lot to live off, especially just after Christmas.

    Oh dear, I'm ranting again aren't I?
    Sorry.

Right we are off (once kids are dressed) to see DH and then lunch at Mum and Dad's once I have popped to pick up some milk and bread and a few other bits for the next few days. Hope it's not too busy otherwise I shall call at the coop instead.

We might be going to a friends later this evening (depends on whether A & W can go) not sure how long we would stay as I have never bothered that much about new year. Used to ring it in with the other bellringers but since DH died a. I have not wanted to join in as it means we are leaving him further and further behind and b. there has been no one to watch A & W.

((hugs)) AnW'sMum - this time of year can be so hard.

See, something to be cheerful about! ;)
Now do wait a few days before you tell her just what hard work kids are when they stop just lying there being cute!

Grrrr just remembered I haven't sent the nescafe beans off and now I can't find them. Some expire today but if I got them in the post they might just honour them. Won't if I can't find them though.

    Morning All

Still sorting out my bedroom - gone through 3 piles of mags this morning so I'm getting rid of most of them. DH has done a load of ironing this morning so hopefully if I get chance to do some later I may get it finished.

    Have a good day all

  • I am definitely getting better organised now the study is downstairs. We have a sellotape dispenser :j (saves me ripping my lips when I bite it :D) and I have a tall round bag thingy (Kleeneze maybe) to store my wrapping paper, and I inherited a very small suitcase from my dear Mum that she always kept her Christmas cards in, so it now has enough in there still for next year (and maybe the next one as well.:o) Could I be really organised and start writing them now? :rotfl:

We even have a desk diary and I've got a "You, Me & The Kids" Calendar.
