Right we are off (once kids are dressed) to see DH and then lunch at Mum and Dad's once I have popped to pick up some milk and bread and a few other bits for the next few days. Hope it's not too busy otherwise I shall call at the coop instead.

We might be going to a friends later this evening (depends on whether A & W can go) not sure how long we would stay as I have never bothered that much about new year. Used to ring it in with the other bellringers but since DH died a. I have not wanted to join in as it means we are leaving him further and further behind and b. there has been no one to watch A & W.

Frodders - well done you :T

Have sorted out the kitchen and stuck some washing on. Guess what the postman bought me this morning? My sausage skins :D. Now guess who's going to be making sausages this afternoon. :D DD is here and has already requested paprika and fennel (can I get fennel at this time of year?).

Right, brunch then shopping I think..

    Morning all

I've taken down the tree and cards, tree and decorations packed away and back up in the loft. The cards are in a bag waiting for recycling.

I've sorted out stuff in the old wardrobe to make more room for DH's stuff (rubbish!). I'm just going to have to stay out of that room or it will do my head in ;)

One load of washing done and hung up indoors, it's really cold and frosty today and no wind so no point hanging it out I don't think.

I moved a couple of things round in the living room and moved some of them back again. I often feel like a change but then it doesn't work.

Cats are going in and out, in and out. They won't believe it's still cold out there.

Otherwise, just tidied round and S&Sd kitchen and bathroom.

Off to catch up with thread.

Any newbies - you won't be disqualified if you don't read all the thread! Some days you may have time and others you won't, you can still use the lists or make up your own and report how you are getting on :)

Thank you for the welcomes. My nickname is Sezz as my nephew couldn't pronounce my proper name. I'm rather stunned at the speed with which this thread moves. How do you all keep up. I'm going to go and fill a couple of cardboard boxes with cookery books for the Red Cross. It's such a good insentive being able to tick things off lists.
