Time to declutter a little coffee. DS's birthday cake in the oven, yeast in water and sugar foaming up, ready to make breadcakes.
Dog doing my head in. Anyone got a recipe for dog in a slowcooker?

It's to Bil'spub - 50 yards from their house and we will leave the kids there...he's only had it a few months. He's an entrepreneur and his construction business was going !!!!!!! up so he has diversified. He won't let me pull pints though! I'm hoping to have a go behind the bar tonight (I have done bar work - loved it...)
Last year they went up G&Bs neck of the woods (which reminds me she is MIA) for the REAL New Year experience...
No doubt Orkney's getting ready to set fire to a boat...:rotfl:
By the way I didn't swear just put some exclamation marks in..probably not the right amount.!

Thats me sorted for now. Ive just washed the kitchen floor so that can be drying while I go to DDs with her present.

Have got a mans bike in the house at the moment. It was abandoned in our back street this morning. It was out there a while before I brought it in. Where I live is just off the main street and things often get abandoned after being stolen. Txt police this morning with description. It isnt a place where you would just leave a bike.

:xmastree: Please can I join. I've had flying sprees in the past which have all worked very well but I never stick at it. Hopefully actually joining rather than peeking round the corner will help me. I'm laughing at the Christmas Tree icon as this year my lounge was such a mess that I joked to my Sister that the only way I could fit a tree in is if it were one that hung from the ceiling. On a bright note it means I don't have any decorations to clear away but not much fun for my DS and a shame as I've collected (hmmm this is a reaccuring problem) lovely chrimbo decorations for many years. They stayed in the loft this year.

So onwards and upwards. Not a chance I'll do all of my ironing but the coal fire is raging and i've done tonnes of washing so that's a start. I can even see the kitchen floor following yesterdays level one. Small steps and all that....

    Merry New Year Everyone!!
hello cashsaver and gsysezz and welcome to the thread!!!!
You have come to the right place if you want your house to be sparkly! And as for it being a mess and cluttered we were and some still are (me!!) but not nearly as bad as it was thanks to pigpen's lists.
As the others have said - start slowly and do your normal dailies and then as much from the list as you can and each week you will find it gets easier - believ me it does!!
Your house didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy in a day - BABYSTEPS - and post what you HAVE done - it is all success - no such word as failure here!
Remember to read the 1st post for all the abbreviations etc.
So dive in and get started - what better time than a New Year!
Welcome to the very mad house!!!

hugs to AnW'smum, A & W and any others who think that another year is leaving them further behind, like pigpen and toots have said, as long as the love and the memory is there so will he (they) be.

Right so what have I done
    • More WM
    • More TD
    • More folding clothes
    • Have got 4 boxes of dinner service for the charity shop (well if I dont use it at christmas I'm never going to am I)
    • Sideboard that it was in has been cleaned and all the new coffee stuff and mugs relocated to there.
    • Relocated OH to the pub as he is just so darn miserable at the moment. He can go and drown his sorrows on someone else. I knew it was going to be a bad day when he'd had rum in his coke and more in his coffee pre 1130
and now maybe get some munchies for me and DD - does more crisps and chocolate count as lunch?
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    right
    Amaretti stuffed nectarines in oven.
Need to bake for 30 mins or thereabouts! They have
amaretti biscuits soaked in brandy mixed with butter, sugar, vanilla extract and egg yolk in their 'cups' - like dead posh fruit crumble. 20 halves there are...

    ooh my kitchen smells lush!

    re the microwave cleaning

I have a little pyrex cup (a very useful thing used for mixing small amounts of stuff in and saving bits of jam when I haven't enough for a jarful when jamming) and I put lemon slices/ or a wedge of lemon in and water and zap for 3 mins on high and leave it closed - the steam softens baked on stuff; the lemon deodorises.
However since I had to brush the cut nectarines with lemon juice I used the cup and a pastry brush to do this...some was left over so I have filled the cup with water and zapped it to clean the microwave now.
