Well i am £1 am over my £30 budget for this week. I am happy with this as its my 1st real go at this challenge. Will be sticking with £30 again for this week. Mentioned this challenge to my friends last night and they now all think i have money problems (well i do have a few) if i have to live of £30 a week for food. Made me giggle

I have got a Mr T shop planned for tomorrwow, I will still be in budget including this but am unsure whether to cancel it or not...I have a lot of e-vouchers on it though and I have noticed that the offers are ending on Tuesday...also the internet exclusives are not as good after tomorrow (half dozen fr eggs for around 70p) and nice bread for 64p, I am also getting nappies (that I will need) and washing powder that I could wait a week or so for....decisions decisions!! for any of you ordering from MrT they are doing 2 x free pots of total 0% yog (max of 2 per order) you have to click on the link to it and put it in your basket from there, it shows as charging gut takes it off at the end...

Anyways I am off to pick up my glasses from town soon....I must resist the urge to go into quality save this time...

Just popping in for a quick up-date. Everyone seems to be doing very well. Knowing I have somewhere to turn is keeping me focused. I am into my February budget, but doing so much better than last month already. Am confident I can make it in Feb, having gone over budget in Jan.

Have had a few NSDs due to being off work sick and not leaving the house. Plenty of food in though so not a problem. Been out quickly this morning to get bread, milk, cheese and veggies. £9.90 on practically nothing. Looked at buying a cucumber and a cauli but with both in excess of £1.35 decided not to. Need to update my sig.

Got visitors for dinner tomorrow, so am going to do a bit of baking this afternoon, which will save quite a bit of shop bought cakes/biscuits etc. MIL birthday, so thought I would try and get in her good books and bake her a cake.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Hugs to everyone who needs them.

I went into W H Smiths on Thursday, and they had Weightwatchers Cooksmart cookbooks buy one get one half price. I am always trying to lose weight, but my downfall is that I feel like I need to feed everyone proper food including cakes etc (dh and ds most definately do not have a weight problem). I bought the Baking one and the Family Meals one.

I am hoping that I can now satisfy my desire to lose weight and feed the world in one go, and without "going without" myself. I have made raisin flapjacks and cherry scones so far. They have both been given the thumbs up and are a fraction of the cost of those disgusting WW cakes in the shops.

I am also contemplating reducing next months challenge to £25 per week, as dh isn't home until the end of February, but then I'd probably only have to put it back up the month after. Hmmmmm, decisions.
