I posted a few days ago that I couldn't use the 375 points thing either. The SA was really rude about it. When I posted on here, someone else said that the 375 was only for use in the Republic of Ireland. (top right hand corner), so I might go back in and try and use the 250 points side. I wonder if it is worth ringing up Customer services to find out for sure. I was so angry last time, I just walked out. The guy had obviously had no sales training. Makes my wonder why Boots have included these in the packs if they are not valid. Surely they are an incentive for you to buy more No 7 products? The guy who dealt with me said that they were only valid on the men's range, yet the small print said any product in the NO7 range. When I said that I disputed what he had said, he just told me that I could dispute it all I liked!

The 375 points is definitely only for N. Ireland so you shouldn't have a problem with the 25 points side.

just wanted to wish you all a Happy Hogmanay

and say thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of Bootsing :D

My best glitch so far has been the 10 packs of nappies for £10 (in storage awaiting bump to arrive in about 3 weeks!) and getting advice on how to maximise my points - meaning that I have only bought stuff I needed, yet have enough points to get a new fancy digital camera for FREE!!!!! Now you don't get more mse than that!:T

thanks guys and heres to a fun filled boots glitch filled 2009 ;)

i'm on .com and have need a code to get extra points...any one got one would reaaaalllly appreciate it...:money:
  • Im not impressed with the no7 stay perfect nail vanish, i put a coat on and it chipped, so last night i put on three coats and this morning its chipped, yet i can put on the speed dry and it last much longer. Is there anything i can do about this, fed up with it happening now.

Well I took mine back under the SADFART scheme! I said, very politely, "It's name implies that ones nails will actually stay perfect for a reasonable length of time, and I do not consider 3 hours meets the criteria."

There was a bit of an argey bargey with several SAs joining in, saying things like "Nail varnish chips, that's what happens" (I could almost hear them thinking Get A Life) so I asked to speak to the manager and said "I know it would be far too costly to change the name to "Stay Imperfect" but that would be more accurate".

Got a refund, and I haven't bought it again. I must try to encourage the world to take things back if they're faulty. We've all paid hard cash (or points!) for things, and shouldn't accept second best.

I used to throw the bruised apples, or black potatoes into the bin like everyone else, but this year it's too expensive, so I take everything back to customer services. Never been refused a refund, and usually for the whole bag!

  • Thankyou very much Sandra for your help, i just phoned cs and they said i could take it back to the store for a refund or have the points put on my card, i opted for the points on my card as my local boots are funny about refunds.

Yay, just got my 'partially despatched' email. But booooooooo, they've cancelled my Lego set :(

Does any one know if the Lego was ever in store as I'll try and hunt some out. It was a birthday pressie for DS1 who'll be 6 :(

The Lego was the thing that made me most cross about the site being even worse than usual (I was one of the 'customers' who spent hours trying and failing to pay) - I have not seen it in any of the stores I have visited (but I haven't been to any really big branches).
  • Hi everyone,

I'm a lurker here and just wanted to thank you all for the bargains I have got recently :A

Our main branch in Dundee didn't have much of what I wanted left in the sale yesterday, but I did get lots of JK wipes (no emery boards left). I got 2250 points, then used voucher from kiosk to get another 250 off as I spent more than £30.

I went to our tiny district High Street branch later and had a field day - lots of S&G sets and No7, so that's pretty much all of 2009's presents sorted!

Just wanted to point out (I've not seen it mentioned previously, so sorry if it has been), No7 Hand and Nail Foot Collection, Skin Treats and Party Purse Set all have No7 Pinkies for 250 points hidden behind some items :j . They are valid from 01.01.09 to 31.03.09, so my logic are that they will be no use to the recipient of those presents at Christmas 2009! :rotfl: HTH
