My daughter has a PAYG sim with o2, we topped it up with £10 on 1st December and again with £10 yesterday, foolishly she made a 15 min call to a friend yesterday and it now says she has £3.00 credit left, but I thought if you topped up with a min £10 every 28 days you got free texts and calls? (or is it just texts?), also it says her credit expires tomorrow, what does this mean? HELP!!

Not sure, but why not move to ASDA's PAYG service. It may be more cost-effective:

Hi
o2 charges are quite high in comparison to other networks. If your daughter made calls to another network it will charge around 25p-35p per minute.
When you first opt for an o2 sim card, you are automatically placed on the tariff that give you 300 texts if you top up £10 monthly etc, unless you call the tariff number (check website) and change to other tariff options.
Your credit should still be available for you to use, not the free texts when the month has ended.Serial lurker..0 -

If you top up twice in one month it will roll over to your next anniversary date (for example - if your anniversary date was the 2nd of December and you topped up on the 1st to be in time for that, and then again on 27th December, you will be covered for 2nd January's top up date too - I regularly roll over my date as I top up then find it running low 2/3 weeks in when at uni)
Secondly it's hard to know which tarrif your daughter is on without ringing and asking, or seeing the confirmation texts she gets on her anniversary dates.
The popular ones are:
Top up £10 a month in one go and get free 02-02 texts or £15 or more in one go to get free o2-o2 texts AND o2-o2 calls (ie - in one transaction, not £10 and then £5/10 at a later date)
or
Top up £10 and get 300 free texts to any network or £15 and get 500 (I think...? Poss more? It's been at least a year since I was on that tarrif so I forget exactly) Agan this is in one transaction.
It's worth ringing and asking as I believe you can swap but only once every 30 days.0 -

I believe Asda's service is provided by Vodaphone so unless you can get their service (which I can't in my area) it may not be the best one for you.0 -

The "not in my area" argument applies to all networks. If you can receive Vodafone in your area, then the ASDA offering may be very cost-effective.0
