O2 Favourite Places free calls 'radius'?

I was just wondering the furthest distance anyone has had their free calls with O2 Favourite Places postcode. I know I can still get the free calls when I'm in town or at work - about 3 miles away - but not tried yet from the other side of town.

I'm actually thinking of changing the postcode to my work address (as I know I'll still get the free calls from home) because it is more central to town so possibly a better chance of making free calls from the other side of town.

Any idea anyone? Thanks.

Hi the O2 Favourite Place tariff works by allocating the nearest transmitter's to your postcode which when your phone is logged on to that transmitter gives you the free calls.

My mum's O2 Favourite place also works in town and the surrounding areas.

A good website to check out is http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/ which gives you the location of the mobile phone transmitters near your postocde.
