Yes, we were at home, but we're all ok.
The police seem to think it probably was the bloke from Wednesday. They think he was disturbed by the dog, so luckily he didnt get anything, just wrecked our french doors in the conservatory. We've had to tie them shut because the frame is all buckled, and we cant really afford to get em repaired so soon after blimmin Christmas
Scene of crime officers have been, fingerprinted the doors, and us
I'm amazed the police came out, let alone within 10 minutes of ringing them. The first lot had only just left, when the SOCOs turned up.
The kids are a bit spooked by it all, but we're trying to think that he didnt actually come in, just opened the door then went
Do you think they were after the take that tickets:eek:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Im itching to take down my decorations as well. Even though i actually put them up early cos i like the xmas spirit, i always get out of the spirit after boxing day, kinda like, ok over and done with, new years next, want the house back to normal.
I've taken down xmas cards and the odd decoration placed on furniture, but my xmas tree and lights i've left up.
I've been to Argos 4 times over the past 2 days and at 2 different locations as well. All because i wanted some storage, but not something massive. What i wanted was baskets to put onto the top shelf of our bookcase, OH said they'd look daft.
So we ended up coming home with seagrass storage unit = taking it back cos wood was too light, we swapped it for a different colour wood = taking it back cos wood was too dark. Then swapped it for a cd storage unit as it had 2 drawers = yep taking it back cos wood too light.
What did we do in the end......yes got the 3 baskets and took me all of 5 secs to put in the bits and bobs i wanted and OH admitted it actually went together quiet nicely. :rolleyes2
I must say Argos was a hell of a lot quieter at the extra store i had to go to yesterday than it was today, today was mad. Took us 10 mins just to be able to reverse out of our parking space as every row was filled with cars trying to get in or out of the retail park.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160

            Who wouldnt want them
 ummmmm
Right folks, I've done my 2009 budget as well as I can. We never know what work is coming one week to the next because stuff gets added and cancelled on a daily basis, so it's shooting into the dark a bit. I'm not taking any work on at the moment but will start doing the odd bit here and there when hubby is home. This recession thing is a bit of a pain, we could both end up on the dole or we could be worked to death. At the moment hubby's diary is ok for 2009 so we'll stick with that.
In previous years I've not wanted to talk figures because I feel a bit that we do have a decent income and I know we earn a lot more than some. But I've been pretty crap at sticking with it and getting cash saved. My excuse, well, a wedding, holiday and a baby. But this year I am going to tell you what I plan to put into savings in £, maybe that will keep me on track?? that we do have a decent income and I know we earn a lot more than some. So, this time next year I would very much like to have saved an extra 25k, that's over £2000 a month in savings. Bit of a challenge with me not working but it can be done if there are no disasters.
Oh and there's also the small matter of the 3 stone I am going to lose in 2009 too.:A
