Roboform On Linux

hI

I have been given a netbook for xmas which runs on Linux

I am on the net now, all ok. Got a memory stick and moved some important files from my pc, but having moved roboform I cant access passwords which I need - as a big comper!

can roboform be used in mozilla firefox which i am using or should I try to download IE which I always used previously?

thanks in advance

  • It can be used on Firefox, if i remember it asks you at installation if you want to install whatever is needed to work with firefox
  • aaaaah. I think I have been enjoying to much beer. I havent downloaded ROBOFORM, just moved the data over on this netbook

am I going to be charged all over again?

    Thanks
  • If you want to run it on two pcs you'll need a second license to run fully.
  • ok, should I download internet explorer anyway or is this mozilla just as good, it looks fine to me but welcome opinions

Internet Explorer is designed for use with Windows operating system.
It is possible to get it to work with Linux, but it's very clunky.

I think that you're better off sticking with Mozilla Firefox with your Linux box.

    Tips, from my own experience:-
1 Find a forum for the type of Linux that you've got (there are many different versions). Pick their brains.
2 Forget what's 'under the bonnet'. Once you've sorted out which common applications you're going to use then Linux will seem to be just as easy to use as Windows.

doesn't work with all apps though.

Try IE4Linux if you must, I would stick to the fox though. There is an extension does the same thing as roboform but it's free.
