I use windows firewall and even when i hace switched it off, so its not dprotecting the pc, i have this message :
Windows cannot connect to the internet using http, https or ftp. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer.
Check the firewall settings for the http port 80, https port 443 and ftp port 21.
You might need to contact your internet provider etc etc etc...
Now i have no idea what to do...
PS Im on the house pc incase your wondering...

Had Tesco anti-virus. Removed it tho, all was properly removed tho.0

still sounds like bits of it are still there, try re-installing it , reboot , then removing it again
edit , seems it's made by F-secure, try this uninstaller first

New one on me. Didnt even know they had software!
Im guessing that there was a fault in the removal somewhere and without fixing said fault, your going to be unable to connect to the net
Download HIJACK THIS

Burn to disc (or put on a USB flash card or whatever)
Transfer and install to the computer you cant get on the net with
SCAN and post the log here (Youll have to transfer back again ~ sorry):idea:0 -
I had the same problem. With mine, it worked when I went back to a restore point from November. However, once the windows updates came through, it introduced the problem again.
I got round this by going back to a restore point, then switched the auto updates off. I then tried various things (including the nortons removal tool mentioned here) and it now works when the auto updates are switched on. I'm not sure what fixed it though. It may have even been a subsequent windows update. Also try logging on in safe mode with networks turned on to see if that rules anything out.0 -
Can you send any traffic outside your LAN? Try and ping google;
Start > Run; type cmd in the box and at the command prompt type; ping 66.249.65.41
See if you get a response from the server, if so it looks like a DNS problem or possible port issue on your router.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
