I bought a 42" TV from Curry's online - reduced from £999 to £545 and a Samsung digital camera reduced from £200 down to £100. Hubby got a bonus and we didn't buy each other prezzies this year so we could spend it in the sales. No more spends now for ages!!

Everything I bought today was 50% off or more:
Next - kids clothes, work clothes for me and a rug, cushions and boots for DD - BEST BUY work suit £60 reduced from £155
John Lewis - Kids clothes, wooden vase
White stuff - PJ's and outfit for me

DISAPPOINTMENT - wanted a rug for living room from NEXT, nothing instore suitable and the ones I liked online I took so long deciding which one to order they had all sold out by the time I had made up my mind!!!!

SHops were not very busy really until just after midday when we were leaving, in fact town was quieter than a normal Saturday!
    Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T
  • I've probably gone a bit overboard but have a lot of people's christmas and birthday presents for next year!

Boots online a couple of days ago:
Half price gift sets and kids toys for friends birthdays and their children's birthdays.
Best thing was a fab wooden car zig zag thing £7 something instead of £15
and also some soft winnie the pooh stacking blocks for my friends baby who is due in January. £3 from £7
Spent £45 in total but added a few toiletires i needed anyway to bump it up to that much to get the free delivery

    M&S online:
Jewellry mannequin for my nans birthday in February - £12 from £19.50
Autograph leather jewellry box - £19.00 from £39.50 (friends 30th birthday sorted!)
Vest and knicker set - £4 from £9.50
Medium sized bear with tie - £3 from £5
Bathroom rack for over the bath for toiletries - £3 from £6 or £7
    Bathmat £12 from £18
    Kitchen scales £3 from £9
Autograph black nightdres £15 from £39
Pure cashmere striped scarf £15 from £35 (another 30th birthday sorted)
Secret support vest top - can't remember how much now!

    John Lewis:
Sony Bravia 32 inch LCD tv - £299 (just snuck in last night and ordered it online before it went back up to £329 this morning)

Instores today - just went to sales for an hours this afternoon:
Red wool coat from Bay Trading £25 from £50
Principles denim trousers - £27 from £39 (the exact ones i wanted as identical to ones i already bought at full price as they are wearing out as wear them all the time!)
Jasper Conran boots from Debenhams - £35 from £45 - not an amazing saving but something i wanted anyway and soo soo comfortable!

So i have spent a small fortune but i they are all things i already wanted or needed - i've just bought a flat and currently watching 14inch portable telly so am chuffed with getting the LCD tv for 299 plus 5 year guarentee.
Bathmat, scales and bath rack thing i needed anyway.
Most of the other things are for prsents so althought they have cost loads right now hopefully saves me money over coming year.

Going to Dunelm Mill tomorrow to hopefully get in the sales:
    Curtains
    A duvet cover
    A mirror

I hit Next at 5am, M&S at 6am, Tesco at 8am (after a snooze in the car) and the proverbial wall by 1pm!

Three bags full at Next, mainly for my growing sons, although having sorted through everything with them I can take half of it back. A couple of lovely pairs of boys jeans in M&S @ only £7 and ankle boots for moi @ £25 from £45.

Best of all though was at Tesco ... a gorgeous box of 2 Finest wines and lots of cheeses from £25 to £8-something.

I bought a Timberland jacket for DH £99 reduced to £30 but managed to get it for £20 with an online code.

2 kids Berghaus jackets for my sons £79.99 each reduced to £21 each

Next sale, I spent £60 on gifts and got some lovely things.

Clone Wars Voice Changer helmets, £12 each - I almost bought these Christmas Eve for £30 each  So glad I waited!!

In Boots I picked up lots of smellies for next Christmas and presents for throughout the year.

All in all I am really happy with what I have bought so far. :j

Can i ask where you got this from?

Was from Superdrug- but they only seem to have shade 3 in- I got hold of the one on display, 9dont ask how, its embarassing!!) but it was a shade 1 (my shade) so just changed boxes over. This is the price they were at, its a new offer I think as it used to be closer to £20 and the full price is £22.50
  • I got a lovely pink Autograph woolen coat from M&S in Hemel Hempstead for £49 (£47.98 with VAT reduction) - I'd been eyeing it up at £99 in Edinburgh a few weeks ago so very pleased.

Got Guitar Hero on Tour Decades for DS (without the guitar grip, got one already) for £14.99 from Game too. Nothing much else in the way of interest in Game, but the shelves were pretty bare, like the early morning shoppers had grabbed all the bargains.
