Did the Boots gift set thing for the 1st time:
Bought a Bar Mix Set, 6 Sanctuary gift sets and other smellies all half price.
    Also bought half price crackers.
Spent about £70 and saved about £70!

Best thing is all Birthday presents for 2009 are sorted and my friends can look forward to better presents this year!

Can i ask where you got this from?
  • 35 piece cosmetic accessories set (brushes, foam pads etc) £1.99 from superdrug.

It was heaving in town but what struck me the most on the way home was how few of the shoppers actually had bags of shopping with them.

My missus has just got back from spending all day at Lakeside (rather her than me)....

She has come back with a few bits..... nothing thatI'd call a bargain... apparently a number of things she had seen reduced before Xmas in Argos and the Disney Store had been hiked back up in price so they cost more now than they did just a few days ago.... something tells me the retailers are banking on bargain hunters blindly spending their money believing that prices are at rock bottom.

We went to Southampton today and I was looking forward to spending the £70 budget I had set myself, however....after only an hour I was already fed up and getting hot and bothered as the place was so busy, I ended up buying two reduced gift sets in Boots and a half price calendar in Clintons. The OH got a half price jumper from Fat Face.

I only spent £20 and was disappointed that I didnt find any nice jewellery or clothes for myself. Oh well I now plan to keep the money I didnt spend and use it towards my SW campaign in the New Year.

Next year I'm going to do my sales shopping online, today reminded me why I've always hated the sales.
