Thanks Merry, I edited the balloon in my first post and it worked. The one above I started from scratch.

BaaB - apologies for highjacking your thread.

  • aint got a mattress yet, still sleeping on old newspapers

(just in case the OR reads this, even though im discharged)
  • Hey, FYP, we're on a Mac too! I'm gonna try posting a piccy asap - but not til at least next Tuesday, as we're away for a few days now!

Bat, thanks for this thread, it puts things in perspective, doesn't it. I work for the NHS and we get NOTHING funded for Christmas 'do's - never have and never will (which I think is how it should be!) I've always felt a bit envious of folks who work for 'private' companies who get loads of 'freebies'! But surely banks have a responsibility to use OUR money wisely!?! Spending money on parties when they've lost peoples' pensions and savings is obscene.

    mmmm, dont start me....

wifes firm paid someone into the wrong account
    result :- bounced debits, charges........
and an offical company warning not to moan/tell to anyone at work!
no overtime rates at all (inc christmas/new years eve+day)
an "invite" to go back to work 1 day during christmas to the "Christmas event"
to stand and wait on residents after making the food!
doctors notes required for ANY sick leave (even 1 day)
    "Counselling" for anyone off sick
A manager crowing to a staff meeting she had given a leaver a dodgy reference, even though the worker had given proper notice. (no-one should leave)
if a staff member is off work (hols or sick) its thier co-workers obligation to provide cover!

Shouldn't really make a difference whether you are on a mac or not. The forum software requires you to do the same thing to post an image whichever OS you are on. Just a case of making sure that the link you are copying and pasting is a direct one to the image file, and that you do it so that the forum knows it is meant to be displayed as a picture rather than a link to click on.

I'm posting this from a lappy running Linux, and it makes no difference to the mechanics of posting a pic.

Sorry to hijack again Bat. :o
