I was really lucky with mine. Ordered the blue one to pick up from the Ally Pally show in September. When I got there to pick it up it had fallen off the van and smashed so they gave me the new pink one at the same price as the blue one. Got mine from Scrapshed (www.scrapshed.co.uk) worth signing up to their newsletter as they quite regularly send out discount codes ;)

Blimey got so much of this thread to catch up on - loving the Le Creuset idea - goingt o Tesco today will have a look.

blushing bride, i copied the above post about the bind it all, i ordered mine from usa when the exchange rate was good

janey - sorry to hear you're not well. Take it easy and get better soon ((((hugs)))

irishgirl -thanks for the Mother told me quotes..........think I'll do something like that for my boys -that'll be on next years list now

Was going to clear out our aptly named 'pigsty' we laughlingly call a walk in pantry this morning but tele man was due to call and didn't feel it was fair to inflict all that on him.................lol
So, I parked my bum at the kitchen table and made three little 'soft trees' out of some freebie fabric I've had for a while and glued some card to the back of my gingerbread men gift tags so they're sturdy enough to hang across the pine dresser.
Now waiting to go and have hair done..........too many bad hair days of late.....................lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi guys

Hope I can join in. I can knit a basic scarf/bag (can cast on/off and knit but that's it, can't shape or follow a pattern)

Also I x-stitch. Anyone know where I can find free patterns online? esp one for a boy birth sampler as my cousin had another baby boy this year.

i posted this on thrifty thread and thought I would post it here too

I came across this on the moneysavers arms about a slanket, i think my four kids would love this! but the price £24.99:eek:

    http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/the-slanket.html?gclid=CNLzs5iX0J0CFZQA4wodJ306sQ

but I googled for a pattern and found one here and it looks really simple to do going to hunt for a cheap blanket to make four of them

    the pattern is here
