There are only 2 natural fears-heights and loud noises. Everything else is a 'learned condition'.
Apparently.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

I went when I was 4. Me and my dad went on a 'wildlife' boat ride and went into a pitch black tunnel. Part way through, I felt something wrap itself around my neck and remember he was talking about snakes on the ceiling of the tunnel. I screamed and as we came into the light, something long and thin fell on the floor.
The poor lad doing the boat ride was mortified. As a 'joke' he threw a piece of rope down the boat to say 'oh, there's a snake'........but it went around my neck instead.........
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:eek:
BB was that not the ride that ended up on the island with the Ape man show...........I think it was as I went on a boat ride first!!!!!But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

it could well have been. I don't remember an escaping gorilla, I think I was probably too traumatised by the snake by then!! I'll have to ask my Dad if he remembers

Hi all - back from a few days at home for Xmas. Turned out to be not too bad despte reversing into a lampost at my Gran's (selfish, inconsiderate gits across the road had 8 cars outside theirs and had blocked most of the driveways in the street). Smarty pants here tried to reverse into the drive nonetheless and spent too much time trying not to hit one of the 8 cars that I 'forgot' about the blinking lampost rght next to the drive. First bash in over 300,000 of miles driven. Annoyed with myself, but thankfully the guy whose friends had clogged up the street works in a bodyshop and has offered to repair it. (Ha! Guilt!)
Treated myself to a new PC usng some saved money and Xmas donations and got a TomTom sat nav for £50 in PC world with £80 off and I have bought myself a good mood! I know that's not quite moneys saving, but I'm chuffed to get a sat nav and new PC today for £351 in total :-)
And it's 1980s movie night on 5! Woo hoo!! Fatal Attraction, Karate Kid, Wall Street, Working Girl, Footloose, and Back to the Future - the film that made me start playing guitar and riding skateboards!!! Loved the 80s. I sense a poodle perm coming on.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
shame you bought that sat nav - I believe there's one for sale soon in Poole!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
