Would be interested if people said where they were investing at the moment.

100% fixed rate deposits - with inflation likely to average 0-1% over the next two years 6% plus is too good to miss
  • 50% savings
    50% shares
  • 52% in cash (of which > 75% is in Cash ISAs fixed at 6.125%)
32% in stocks & shares ISAs - wide geographical remit (16 funds)
16% in shares (utilities and keeping my overall portfolio in the black)

Having fully subscribed to the 08/09 ISAs, I am biding my time before investing again as my last 3 fund choices were mixed successes - Russia (big mistake) and US (comparatively okay and showing a small gain after 6 months)
I will no doubt wait until the next tax year before I start investing again, but until then I am maxing out my pension and any residual is going into cash.

    Happy investing for 2009!

    Cash ISA: 56%
    Other Cash: 24%
S & S ISA: 1% (Just set up with Direct Debit)
    Equities: 19%

That's approximate. In the New Year I'm planning on increasing my S & S ISA direct debit, it goes into a tracker of the FTSE All-Share. More into Cash ISA, and out of equities into another fund, possibly M & G recovery.

Just what I'm thinking for me, not advice for anyone else.

Good point - ISA is cash.
Shares are held within a seperate ISA
Other is held in other online accounts (zopa, spreadbetting etc)

savetilibleed - where is your final 1%?
