You are absolutely right. The company haven't made any claims that they have failed to keep.....even next day delivery. So, if you are after a comfortable but FIRM mattress at a price that you can barely get one of those 'mattress topper' things, then you could do far worse than going to Miraflex.

Have just ordered one of the Miraflex mattresses to replace our uncomfy old one. Will let you know what we think when it arrives.

im waiting for a topper to come from Ideal world tv. its £95 inc P&p i was waiting for them to come back onto the deal of the day as its cheaper.. a few of my mates have them from them and cant praise them enough.. they can go onto any mattress no matter how old the mattress is .. i will keep you all posted to see how it is but im looking forward to it coming as i get back pain if i sleep to long so fingers crossed i can have a lie in,,

Me too I really want to know how people are getting my partner has terrible back trouble and we wonder whether its worth investing, but we can only afford a topper as we have a super king size bed (so I dont get kneed in the backside anymore);)

As i said in my earlier posts JenJen, the Miraflex mattress' are pretty darn cheap and very firm. I would imagine they'd be great for anyone with back trouble. Hopefully others will soon respond and give their views on the product ( I know that a few on here have purchased them).

i haven't heard of miraflex before, but i reckon the best companies specialising in memory foam vacuum packed mattresses at present are Relaxsan, Comfisan and Simmons Bed-in-a-bag. The actual visco element should be at least 11cm. whats the composition of these miraflex mattreses? and do they give a 15year guarantee against sagging, etc like the others? if money isn't too much of an issue, memory foam mattresses that arent vacuum packed are far better! particularly those by Sleeping Comfort, Sleepeezee and Simmons.

can someone verify that the mattresses by miraflex are indeed memory foam ones and not just standard foam.

This is the issue diamond. They do have a website that is mentioned on an earlier post in this thread....take a look and see what you think. I am a complete novice when it comes to memfoam mattress' and just bought two of them assuming they were meory foam. Wrt the 15year guarantee against sagging- you could drive a dumptruck over the Miraflex for 15 years and I doubt it would even make a dent in it!

Actually, I have noticed a little more give in the mattress in the last few days. It feels a bit more comfortable too. Maybe it takes time for this to happen due to it being compessed to the size of a few shoe boxes and vacuum sealed. :beer:

I posted this first in another thread but I'll put it here too....

I too took the plunge on a Miraflex king size. I had my reservations about them being too cheap and too hard or specifically for back pain sufferers so I tried to find as much info as I could.

Interestingly enough Miraflex are now selling on ebay too but have yet to get any feedback rating as they have just started.

I asked about the winter/summer side and they said there was now no call for the different sides so the visco elastic memory foam is only on one side (5cm thick not 10 as the website mentions).

I got mine yesterday (ordered on Friday delivered on Monday) and it was good fun to see it expand.

After that I did have trouble working out which side actually had the memorry foam on as both seemed similar to me. (Eventually emailed them to make sure - bottom is the side with the label on it as expected).

There was a printed A4 sheet inside that gave the measurments (16 cm deep -not 17 as website says) and also in big letters - '5 year guarantee' - I could have done that on my printer !

I emailed again to ask what the guarantee covered - they said " cover faulty workmanship and if the foam is damaged in the 5years meaning if it shrinks we will replace your mattress".

Also noticed the plasticy smell but it fades quickly.

Time for bed.........initially it did feel a bit odd and you do slowly sink in a bit but at all times there is sufficient support without it being too firm or too soft. I got my wife to bounce up and down a bit (next to me not on me !) and I also did my rolling whale maneouvr and there was very little transfer of motion in the mattress. I slept very well as it gently yet firnly hugged my 15 stone frame.

Its probably a bit earlier to give a conclusive opinion but thus far I am very happy with the purchase. Its certainly not too firm and offers good support as well as the memory foam effect so all in all I can't fault it.

I'll post back if this changes.
