I've now sought confirmation from 3 different places at AOL on this, and am assured that their broadband services are subject to VAT. I'm waiting for written confirmation to be sent to me. From doing an internet search, I can find several articles on Freeserve fighting this and various other objections against AOL using this loophole, but nothing more recent than 2003. I would like to see confirmation from a source other than AOL.0

Clause 3.3.5 from their terms and conditions seems to imply that their residential prioducts include VAT. However, it does say where applicable, although I would have taken that to ean included.
It also suggests that VAT does apply, even if they are based in Luxembourg“Official Company Representative
