  • GOOD THING
Bast, nice to meet you :j
    ANOTHER GOOD THING

I have had a verbal offer on this dream job:dance::dance::dance:
But I'm trying to stay calm until I have a contract in my hands and it could be a little while as the CEO has gone away for a bit :(
The money is similar to what I am on now but the prospects are really good and I can not wait to get stuck in.

    GOOD THING NUMBER THREE

    Going diving tomorrow

Nats I love it that I have you cheerleading for me!

    BAD THING

My car broke down last night and had to be towed this morning will be £350 to repair and obviously no one can do this until Tuesday.

    ONE MORE GOODTHING

My daughter who was driving the car managed to get home safely.

All things considered the outlook is good ;)

  • Hi Nats,

    I got the job!!:j
I resigned today but feel strangely sad :(

It's strange hey but there you go.
I'm still plodding on but really not very good at economising :o

I'm diving most weekends at the moment (well every tbh!) and having a great time :-)

Oh yes did I mention the raise..... or the fact that this job has great propects? ;)

    Hi OBNW!!!!

Do you like my celebratory fireworks in honor of your new job?

    Really chuffed for you!!!:T

Handing your resignation in is a tough one - its amazing how sentimental you suddenly feel about your job and the people that over time have really got up your nose!! lol

Diving every weekend sounds good (not for me though... have a strange phobia about not being attached to the atmosphere and therefore the air I breathe!)

You get a raise? Working on a higher floor then? lol

Glad things are working out for you - keep us posted!!!

  • Aw thanks Nats xxx

I have an end date :D Friday 1st October woo hoo!

And start new job Monday 4th I'm so happy this could be such a great move..... although I have traded in my October work trip to Texas for a work trip to Leamington Spa!!!!

The money is not a lot more at the moment an extra £100 per month but the prospects are good.... I had not had a raise in my old job for 3 years despite taking on loads more work. They also made another batch redundent in the US last week.

The diving is working well as I am down as staff at one of the local lakes and get to dive and have free airfills etc when I assist with students
I'm at a fiftieth birthday tomorrow and am currently making rocky road and meringues to take with me.... I feel sick picking at all the sugar _pale_

Hoping to make it until Celebrity juice without barffing ;)
