Seems the original offer has been modified:

We've modified the "£3 off MP3s" promotion. All customers will receive up to £3 off MP3 music downloads purchased on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. However, you no longer need to enter the FREEMP3S promo code (this code will no longer work). Instead, we will refund you a maximum of £3 against your purchases in our MP3 store on Christmas Day or Boxing Day 2008. We will refund your credit or debit card by the 9th January 2009.

This offer is limited to a maximum of £3 discount per customer and excludes customers who have already redeemed the MP3 promo offer using code FREEMP3S.

Would seem to suggest that they've picked up on people opening multiple accounts, so unless you've got lots of credit cards it'll be one offer per person (and a good thing too!). Still, getting my 4 free tracks

well I opened an account for my bf and did not need his credit card details. I just entered code. That was half an hour ago.

Clearly they realised that you can open an account without a credit card and people getting free albums.

They cant do it retrospectively though, so anyone who got one originally should not be charged anything
