  • Seems that very few are escaping it this year. OH gave it to me and Im still coughing and spluttering everywhere. Came back to work yesterday and 6 out of the 8 staff all have it
  • yer, had the dreaded for three weeks, started at the beginning of December then went down with pleurisy on the 23rd. Still hacking and in pain too.....Christmas was a mystery, seem to have been asleep or at least in bed,for ever.
  • OH had it a few days before me. I started getting sneezes on Christmas day :(

Problem is I am 41+2 weeks pregnant. Can only take paracetamol for the aches but doesnt seem to have much of an effect. Im due to be induced on Saturday, think the baby is giving me a few more days to get better.
So tired at the moment with everything, im also suffering terrible heartburn at night and have had to sleep on the sofa so i am vurtually sat up. Totally bad timing :(
  • Apparently known as the boomarang cold - I know I've had it twice anyway! I found that taking cough mixture for a tickly throat helped, esp covonia. At least the cough didn't seem to settle in my chest it was just irritating - more so for dh than me I must admit. He managed to avoid catching it from me by practically building a wall between us on the sofa :) but went to visit family over christmas and caught it there instead

So I'd say be wary everyone of reinfecting yourself!

Does anyone have dizziness following their cold?
I thought I had just shaken off the end of my cold after a fortnight as my nose had dried up and the chesty wheeze had gone but now I seem to have persistent dizzy spells. Its awful because I can't concentrate and I feel permanently drunk and lightheaded (without the nice bits).
My temperature was 100 degrees last night but has come down again, hope I haven't got an ear infection now as well :(
  • My DD was ill over xmas and kept feeling dizzy. I mainly have a sore throat and annoying cough. Why is it when I take some decent time off work I spend it feeling lifeless !!

  • Three weeks later from having the flu and it still hasnt shifted completely, im back at work now but the cough will not go and my throat feels like its been ripped out.
  • Got it last weekend, gave it to Hubby and son for Christmas. All knocked out for 3 days, husband still trying to get over it. It was only a virus, but I dread to think what the full blown flu is like. Felt absolutely rotten !
  • Thought DD had flu as it really did knock her out but Im not as bad so just a virus I guess. I had full flu once will never forget completly bedridden for four days and coughing for weeks.
