  • It's being demolished. Local opinion seems to be 50/50 and what everyone can agree on is that no one has won as it's cost Reigate Council tens of thousands.

Costs were awarded against Fidler so there's only one loser.

:) How many people on this thread have to eat their hats? Anyone count? Quite a lot of indigestion imminent, including for myself.

If he pays, rather than declaring bankruptcy.

Presumably he still has plenty of valuable assets situated there, and the land, but perhaps he's transferred ownership of these to his wife.

When the council did a similar thing in my village, they seized the land to sell later and offset their considerable costs.

yes its still there and it will be this time next year and the years after.

the same people will always be saying he has lost and this time it rteally will have to be demolished, but they will be just as wrong as they were several years ago saying the same things.

they will still be saying the same things in years to come but mr fidler is always one step ahead.

fidler is a hero, he has set a president for others to follow.

the planning laws are a joke, now many others will be building without all the messing about trying to get permission, they will be successful just like the fidlers

    it is still there.

honestly its like the emporers new clothes with some people.

no matter how you spin it, all those who said it would have to come down were wrong.

who wants to bet me it will still be there next year?

I used to live near Reigate, and pay my council tax to them. Now I know where my money was spent
