My daughter is considering renting a house in the Jesmond area of Newcastle - shes at uni there.
How much should she expect to pay for water charges? Its a 3 storey house and there will be 6 tenants. She THINKS (yes its all still to be checked out!) that the rent does NOT include water charges - anyone know if this is normally the way property is rented out?
Hope someone can give some help!

Depends on a number of factors; mainly if it is metered or not.
6 adults tend to use a lot of water so, if metered, as a rough guide I would think £40-£50 a month.
If not metered it could be anything as it depends on the Rateable Value(RV) of the property. Most 'students digs' type houses tend not to be the high RV type so it could be cheaper.0
