The chain mentality is speading. I think that makes three threads on this subject. Its like the starbucks of the forum world
  • bought stuff once or twice at officers club years ago. always used to have 'sales' round the year. some of the stuff on sale was ok. but that was years ago, dont know if things changed later. but the stuff i bought was good and is still looking fine (water resistant overcoat bought it for travelling to interviews etc dont use it often otherwise) think got that coat for 20£ on sale normally that sort of thing would have been nearly 100£ elsewhere. but this was a while ago.

Oh damn...I was going to start speculating on their junk i.e. buy jeans for a fiver and sell 'em on ebay for a tenner! I wanted to create a Jeans Price Bubble!

Going to have to look for something else now!

  • I reckon the spaces will be filled with charity shops and those skanky cheque cashing places. Better Officers Club or Whittards than those.

'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher
  • Some breaking news.... Administrators are trying to find new buyers ....& are proposing a name change from the Officer's Club to the Officer's MESS.

It sounds more like a lap dancing joint than a clothes retailer.
