M&S Sale

I received half of my M & S order today, and I'm not impressed - they have cancelled the rest this afternoon!! I place the order at 10pm on the 24th, so how can things have gone out of stock?? I have read on here that other people received their order a couple of days ago, yet placed it after me.
Why has it taken them a week to cancel some items!! I could have got them elsewhere in the sales, but now it is too late.0

Another M&S Sale thread on MSE suggested that there will be more items put on sale as from January 2 across wider ranges of goods. Can anybody confirm this?0

Today, in Newcastle's Marks and Spencer's they were reducing their sale stock further. There were some great bargains in the toys and games especially I thought. :Lots of Doctor Who, some good DVD's bargains Wizard of Oz and Singing in the Rain £5 for the 2.
For example I got two jigsaws were £9.50 down to £3 each(with VAT off too)

I didn't realise that when you take things back in store that you have ordered on line they give you a credit note instead of money back.0

Not to rain on anyones parade but beware M&S sales on line are a nightmare - they take ages and cancel your orders. I bought a load of stuff online last year thinking I was sorted half of it was cancelled and I ended up losing out as I didn't buy it in store as I thought i had it on order.
I posted this before the M&S sale - I got slated by other forum users but too be honest it looks like M&S have not improved and I am so glad I didn't wait for an order from them this year.
M&S need to get their act together regarding their online site.0

That's never happened to me, I've always had it credited back onto my card0

It says on the return slip that if I take it back instore I have to have a credit note.0

No, I've never had that - take your slip that came with your order and it goes straight back on your card.verynewmoneysaver wrote: »It says on the return slip that if I take it back instore I have to have a credit note.0

I also have it refunded to my card as well, they can not make you have a credit note.
