When is it supposed to start?
  • Not to rain on anyones parade but beware M&S sales on line are a nightmare - they take ages and cancel your orders. I bought a load of stuff online last year thinking I was sorted half of it was cancelled and I ended up losing out as I didn't buy it in store as I thought i had it on order.

    Better not bother then, Elliebabe.

No I won't bother - Just thought I'd share mine and many other experiences of M&S online last year. Would rather go into the shop and get what I want than think I have it ordered and it never turns up.

it should start christmas day but i remember last year reduced prices started appearing about 9ish christmas eve

i ordered a lot last year and in the summer sale and all my items arrived :)
  • Inevitably some sales stuff is cancelled and deliveries take ages to turn up, but most of my stuff has eventually arrived.

A few years ago M&S was absolutely dreadful with online sales (even on standard purchases), but it seems to be okay now.

I'll definately be having a look. I've placed sale orders previously and have received all my items

    - in the last sale, I did have to chase up a few items with customer services, a couple of weeks after ordering but I did eventually receive everything.

    - just wanted to add that I think M&S have fantastic customer services - always very friendly and helpful (no - I don't work for them!!! lol)

Will be worth a look anyway- makes it easier to plan my visit on the 27th, if I see things that are not reduced enough online, I know to hold out for more reductions/not bother going to the stores.

Unless anyone knows better: the online sale prices are the same as the instore prices, right...?
  • according to website, sale has now ended
