Just a quickie, January 2005 all Motor Dealers became regulated by Financial Services Authority(FSA). Even before this it was illegal to sell a car to you at a different price than the next man just because it was cash/finance.
They like you to take their finance but will sell at the price you will buy the car(within reason of course!!), the payment bit comes later.
