Banking processing does not work on weekends, or Bank Hols for that matter, depending on whats in your contract it will probably have something along the lines of payments will fall before a weekend/after a weekend etc... Technically if its before you should be paid on the 24th (oooh tmmw). Dont forget to change your direct debits etc0

I'm pretty sure you'll find that every time your pay day falls on a sunday you don't get it until the monday.
Conversely, when you're due to be paid on a Saturday, you'll most likely get it paid in on the friday. This is pretty standard practice and how my own pay works, although at Christmas, we're paid a few days early so we get it before christmas.
Banks aren't open on Sundays, not quite sure what you want them to do - give you an advance on your pay maybe?0 -
If my payday usually falls on a weekend i always get paid the friday. The firday is boxing day this year though. so shouldnt they pay me before??0

it may be they realised too late to get the pay run thro in time, looking at the timings now it would be very difficult for them to get the money to you before hand.Nonny mouse and Proud!!

I would check with your payroll dept and your contract. Where I work we are normally paid on the 23rd, but they have advanced it a few days, so we already been paid (Thank god too), your company will be able to say when they run the payroll.0

I have checked with my payroll they said it would be the 29th! Its now to late to change my direct debits i dodnt think they could pay you a day after your payday!!0

That's a bit poor of them.
Previous employers have always paid any Sat/Sun falling pay dates on the Friday. Where I am now pay Sat on a Friday and Sunday on the Monday. Certainly where you normally get paid on a Friday for paydate falling Sunday they should have arranged for it to be done early.
Just try and see it as you will have a shorter month in January and that if you had had it early, as in tomorrow you would have had a long wait until the next one.0 -
If it was a weekend i alwasy get paid the Friday, but the friday os boxing day so surely it should be tomorrw?0

In the future it may well be worth leaving a longer gap between your pay day and when all your DD 's leave your account.
That way if something does happen you have a bit of breathing space.0
