    well she has got the nasty cold at the moment but it was the eye test that did it....the optician could 'see' something - whatever that means....

    the problem is she is 18 now and an adult in her own right and patient confidentiality and all that - its a weird situation...

    Ah right, then it's most likely anaemia, that can be seen in the eyes as I've ended up anaemic several times when I first went veggie and didn't get enough iron.

    It does make things difficult if the young person doesn't understand what's being said well enough to articulate it to you.

    Don't panic though, maybe you could go with her when she goes again?
