DFW Daily Chat 23 December - Stollen slices all round!

DD1 went to have her eyes tested and they referred her to the docs....she had blood tests yesterday and told me/her to ring back in a week....

she is 18 and it was worse than taking an baby for its first injection....sheesh you would think it gets easier...its hard putting an 18 year old on your knee..

Anyhow the doc has rung to speak to her today and wouldn't tell OH what it was and they missed her.....and by the time she rang the doc back he had gone home.

she was worried so i went to the docs and bullied the receptionist till she told me what was up..All she could tell me was that she has a low lymphocyte count but she didn't know what it meant and that the doc will ring her first thing in the morning....!!!!!! - I did a really stupid thing and googled it.....

Doesn't that just mean she has a lowered immunity at the moment? It could just mean that she's got a virus in her body that her immune system needs to fight off.

Self-diagnosing is bad aint it and it could be a pleothora of things of which the worse may only be one of them, but still unsettling nevertheless i am sure. Big Hugs for ya and I hope you find out soon and more importantly things are ok x x

I will, I am a glass half kind of person, BUT OH is seriously driving me nuts as usual...he has serious issues when it comes to illness and his OCD twitching has come out in great force...

If I wasn't worried it would be funny......:o

Please, I don't want anyone to be worried, sad etc but I just wanted to talk to some relatively normal people...

Sammy there can be many reasons for it hun, please please don't worry about it. If it was something urgent the Dr would have made sure they had got hold of her and not waited another day
