Hi
Im after resitting my GCSE science as a part time adult course but cant find any local colleges offering this course.
Im 20yr old so i cant resit it with the school leavers.
If someone could let me know if any colleges do offer this course then il carry on my search. At the moments im beginning to belive they dont offer it to adults.
Thanks!

Many colleges got rid of their labs as a cost cutting measure and I know several who only offer Human Biology, which doesn't need any lab time. Do you need the science GCSE for a particular reason?0

You could see if any colleges might bring back the sciences in september next year0

i work in a lab at the moment, i was just luckly to get in the job im in now and have worked my way up. im looking at getting a new job soon but i only have 1 gcse in maths grade c 9which i got last year) so without anymore qualifications iv not much chance even with the experience iv got.
I want to stay within microbiology like i do now0 -
You could have a look at doing the OU Foundation unit "Exploring Science" (S104)which would give you the Certificate in Natural Sciences or you could go on to do a complete degree with them.

That might be because of the difficulty of finding other science courses and the number of nurses/midwives doing Access courses.0 -
I work in Adult Learning and we offer the GCSE Science to anyone of any age over 16. It's often down to numbers though - classes won't run with tiny numbers as they will be running at a loss. Speak to your local council's Adult Learning department, although it will be next September before GCSE's are re-started."Stay Wonky":D

Have you tried applying for funding ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
