  • I use Radley bags for my work, and I don't find them chavvie at all. Lots of people in the City of London use them. The work bags are around £200 and are very good quality. I've used more expensive bags, but they are extremely heavy.

However, I do always take the silly dog tag off my Radley bags, and I'd never buy one of their handbags with the little scenes/patterns constructed of leather on the side.

I love Mulberry...this is my favourite store, but out of my price range. But I'd only ever buy a Mulberry bag if all my clothes were also in the same price range...otherwise it portrays that 'try too hard' look (similar to someone using a very good personalised number plate on a crap car).

    I've been Money Tipped!
I am a Mulberry bag girl. Just the plain messenger ones though, nothing too fancy for me.

The Bicester village outlet shopping has a good store, they have also recently opened a Radley store which has a huge selection.

I always wait til after christmas and the OH takes me to the factory shop in Shepton Mallet...and every year i'm "allowed" a new Mulberry bag..he has done this for the past 6 years and I now own 8 Mulberry handbags which I covet...I dont wear designer clothes so these are my treats and everyone at work knows me for my Mulberry bags...they have a great sale after Christmas and I have got bags in there for 90% off....last year my Ayler Rio was down from £795 to £195.....

I love my mulberry - latest is the jodie that OH bought me for my birthday - similarish to the chloe paddington. No one really bats an eyelid at it though - mulberrys not one of those obvious 'labels' ie LV or burberry that people instantly clock as a designer (or a fake). Mulberrys are quite subtle and could be any leather handbag to the ntrained eye.

I love this place, I learn so much! There is a whole world out there I didn't know existed and I didn't even realise what a sheltered life I lead.

thats a mortgage payments worth for me! if i had that sort of money to spend on a handbag, then perhaps i'm on the wrong site!;)

At last someone like me who knows that just because something has been reduced doesn't make it a bargain or any less obscene at that price. Here Here is all I can say! And I don't spend more that a fiver on handbags a year and they come from charity shops.

im lucky , i live about 500 yards from the factory , mulberry bags are quality , more so than the other "DESIGNER" labels , many are stitched by the old clarks shoe stitchers , they were taken on by their old boss (michael soul ex owner of mulberry ) who was also a top manager at clarks shoes in the 70s , and they make great pains to get the best leather , and top designs
perhaps not worth the rrp , but all will last a lifetime ,
we have some that are over 20 years old and they just get better with time ,(believe it or not i have bought bags and purses for less than £1.00 at charity shops and car boot sales )
if you are near shepton mallet they have most of their bags , purses at about half price or less in their factory shop ,

.... and if you go when they have a sale on - you can save even more (or buy two instead of one) - oh oh, my OH is reading over my shoulder, smiles sweetly and runs!
