Tiscali 512K Customers

I was looking for a broadband ISP for a mate of mine that needs to get away from 56k (which is only 32k here in Scotland...) and decided to check out Tiscali packages as that's what my mum uses. (she also uses this MSE account here too).

Well anyway - I signed her up for the base package at Tiscali for 15.99 a month 512K Down/256K Up on a one year contract with free modem, no setup fee etc back in May 2005.

Now the base package is 1M for 14.99 a month.

I assumed I'd have to sit out the 1 year contract but I called 0800 107 9000 and pressed the option for sales and asked about being "upgraded".

The girl explained she could upgrade me right away and that I did not need to change my contract etc.

So I've saved myself a quid a month and doubled the speed in theory :j

(p.s. I've never had any problems with Tiscali)
