Can you carry a 1kg tin of sweets in hand luggage or will it have to go in the hold.Might be a stupid question but i wasnt sure.

As long as you are in your weight limit for the hand luggage there should be no problem. Only difficulty I can see is if they contain something like nuts or honey that aren't allowed into some countries but processed food is usually fine.0

Can't see any problem - unless they've got liquid centres?!Gone ... or have I?0

No liquid centres, just a tin of Quality Street.I am trying to make room in the case for them but thats going to mean removing something and i aint sure what i can do without."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0

I regularly take a tin of Roses to my sister in Spain in my handluggage with Ryanair and have never had a problem:D0

You will be fine, as said, as long as within the hand luggage wieght and size limits.0

I'd be inclined to take out some clothes and put them in my hand luggage as being lighter and then put the tin of sweets in the hold luggage0

You want to be careful there... The strawberry roses have liquid centres and sharp-nosed airport security officials may well question them.
Though of course that would be the perfect excuse to wolf down the tin's entire strawberry content in one go. Yum...0
