I've seen a lot of these quite nominal discounts on the Argos website. I'm guessing that they must be the difference between the two VAT rates rather than Argos just being a bit stingy with their special offers. If you search for anything it looks like every item has been discounted by about 2%...

I would guess that the website produces the list of offers automatically when prices go down and Argos doesn't want to go the trouble of changing it.

i agree, £1 off something that costs £50, isnt really what id call a sale. there doesnt seem to be anything that has more than a few £s off
