But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today I will:
- check online banking
- move some cash into savings
- update spreadsheets
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- put some coins in sealed pot
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- Last preparations for xmas events at work
Last few days run in to xmas day, lots to do yet to get sorted. Hope you all have a great day, for all of you who have already finished work- take it easy:D
Hugs to anyone still suffering with the lurgy, and welcome to any new posters:D .
catch you later:D

Hi,
Glad it's Monday Morning
Today wont be very DFW - had a late night (had to take Nan to the hosp at 11:45 pm), went to bed at 12:30 am, and had to get up at 6am for work.
So, today I will...
* buy breakfast - a shower was more important than breakfast
* buy lunch - see above
* should be able to add more change to sealed pots
* when I get home, I will do comps etc
Think that is about it.
Hello to all the regular posters, people with the lurgy and anyone new.
Take care

Thanks for the message.
I am sure that she will be ok - she has had lots of strokes, and the last one really affected her....now, she can't string a sentence together
.
We had the local emergency doctor out late last night (after struggeling for 30 mins to get her up 4 stairs to bed and giving up).
We called the doctor out, who was very rude, and got frustrated when nan could not put a sentence together. When Nan explained that she had a fall on Sat evening in the kitchen but could not remember anything, the doc asked whether she slept on the floor every evening
.
I then had to take her to hosp where they took the time to talk to mum (main carer) who could explain things better than a 85 yr old.
I am really tired, so sorry if this comes across as a rant or does not make much sense.

hey
aw that sounds horrible for you. That doctor sounds very rude and incompetent. I would personally think of changing doctors if that kind of treatment happens often. Hope your nan is feeling better after her fall.
Today I am doing all of my xmas shopping but wont be too expensive hopefully!
Am only buying presents for close family, will be getting little selection boxes etc for other people that buy me and OH things otherwise I'll feel really guilty!
So the budget is around £60, thank god I have a small family!!
