Find an mse member

Hi all

I have been inundated with help and advice on another matter i am posting about and one particular member offered to send me a copy of a book i have been trying to track down called 123 magic. I replied and said that would be great and asked her to PM me and we could take it from there.

When i went back to check my thread, the post where she offered me the book AND the post where i thanked her have been removed a by a board guide and the reason was stated as discourage swapping and selling.

Im annoyed as there is no selling or swapping going on, the member simply offered me her book as she knew i had been trying to find a copy.

When people where sending on their old copies of MSE books there was no problem so why is this any different??

ANYWAY i would like to find the memeber that offered me the book, so how can i find her??

Use google

type in the box the following"

"members name" inurl:moneysavingexpert

try that and you should find a post by 123magic

Incase you don't know ... The members name usually in bold in the panel left of the post can be clicked on (left mouse button). That brings up a little menu where you can pm him/her.

obvious i know........... but did you pm the other member ? if so look back through your pm's or if you go to advanced search , you can search by user name !

Not sure if I read it wrong, but I got the impression feisty_fairy doesn't know the members name - the book name is 123 magic, but she can't remember the name of the member that offered to send it.

I might be wrong, but thats how I read the post anyway.

Clicked on Feisty Fairy's name and read her other posts where it was mentioned

Martin made an exception for his book and then decided that we must stick to the rules from now on sorry,
it's not the buying or selling it's the swapping of personal details via the site that is against the rules
