Come on Now with everything costing a lot more in europe and Ireland than in the UK why go any place other than TURKEY which is still cheap.
I went RYANAIR to ITALY and we all got left on the way back due to fog which other airlines where taking off in possible a good way for them to save money keep the aircraft on the ground in the UK forget about the passengers.
If they are the lowest fare airline then why do you think no one is flying with them....0 -
Thanks for this
I'll keep my eyes peeled here for flights in future - looking for a deal to Rome in March 0 -
If you use www.skyscanner.net you can search all destinations for a whole month. So if you put in your preferred departure airport (or search all UK airports) then you should be able to find something.

There's no such thing as a cheap flight - the environment pays and so do the rest of us who don't fly and subsidise the airline industry with tax-free fuel. And the money which is spent abroad could do more good spent in this country.0

Yes, they sting you for 'extras' such as taking luggage, checking-in, standing, sitting, breathing etc. You can each take hand luggage if you're careful and check size and weights etc. Be careful if taking one case: their small print says you can't share luggage. I don't know if they're likely to check, but you'd have a hard time proving one of you has luggage and three don't. Of course, £30.08 is still a giveaway to fly anywhere, especially for a family of four. The airport car park will cost more.
Someone asked whether to cancel earlier. I don't think they give refunds and will charge you for any kind of cancellation or date change - it just isn't worth it - don't turn up.
Don't forget, Ryanair keep prices low by flying to out-of-the-way places e.g. Barcelona is actually Girona - 80-ish miles away. The transfer is cheap and easy (trains are excellent), but it all has to be factored.
My one experience with them was okay, but all the sneaky rules and money-grabbing don't fill you with confidence. I'd look into EasyJet first next time, they're likely to be more expensive, but I find them much more open and honest.0 -
4 of us went to France with Ryanair for a week in October and managed to just take hand baggage as they have a generous 10kg limit for that. (It doesnt get weighed at Edinburgh Airport though). We managed to take a hand bag as well but not sure if thats the 'official' rule.
We did pay for one bag though as we were travellinng with an infant so I couldnt manage me and son for under 10kg.
We also checked in the other 3 online so it was only me and my son who checked in at the airport with his buggy (which was also free).
A bit cheeky I know and I wouldnt expect to always get away with it but we had quite a lot of stuff stashed under his buggy in a change bag.0 -

London Gatwick to Barcelona Girona for 2 adults is coming up at £54.44 inc. Taxes.0 -
Am I the only one who finds this to be a bit of a scam?
I guess it's okay if your day tripping.
But at £30 to check a bag in? that's more than the cost of the flight.
Also I am confused it said free for the flight i selected to Frankfurt from London, and then when I selected the dates, said 78Pence there, Free on the way back, but then around 30 quid in taxes, but it already said it included taxes before!
Then when you get to check it, you gotta pay £8 to book in? and £30 for luggage?0 -
Hi guys,
Just booked a few tickets to go to Barcelona. Just a quick question for people who have used Ryanair before - Is there any way to make this holiday truly free? I've never been via Ryanair before, so what about luggage? I booked the flights with the option of 0 bags and online check-in (£30 is ridiculous for 1 bag). Will that be a problem? Can you take 1 bag for free onto the plane? How does it work?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Course you can, as long as the bag you are carrying on meets the dimension and weight restrictions. Actually, you can take quite a big bag. I just had 3 days in Rome with a carry on bag.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0
