    Evening lovelies...

I am feeling MUCH better - probably because I have 'chucked' again and (look away now) more copiously so clearly what was in my system no longer is. I am being sensible and drinking boiled water. I have told the kids I CANNOT go in the kitchen to see to their suppers and moreover they need to wash the toothmug. Dettol disinfectant spray applied generously to bathroom - fortunately DS had a similarly short lived bug a fortnight ago so I restocked:D
I was kind of worried it might be appendicitis but I could palpate (my mum was a nurse - I think that's the word she used when she meant press down on) the site so I thought probably not - also normal temperature...

Now off to catch up with thr thread and see what I have missed...

Pleased you're ok valli - I was just in the process of texting anw's mum to ask her to phone you to make sure you were ok as you posted (I haven't got your no.)

My TD is doing my head in - it keeps turning itself off - I think the catch must have gone on the door and it's opening slightly which turns it off!

Aww thanks for all your love'n'hugs and worrying about me. I didn't want to phone my mum because I don't want to ruin her xmas by giving it her, though I would have if it had carried on - it was really painful:confused:. Actually started feeling ill in town and kept having to stop and rest. I thought it was indigestion at first and had munched some remegel but it just did not go.
Anyway I am feeling much better now.
Saw some gold and silver pegs for card hanging in BHS but did not buy them as they weren't reduced unlike lots of other stuff. Woolies was sad...empty shelves and cordoned off sections.
DD was taken to Jui Jitsu and brought back - normally I would have done the return journey myself and DS brought back by GFs parents - who incidentally, have given me and DD a christmas pressie - I was half expecting this and had bought them one but DS had 'bought' it off me to give them...ho hum.
He has gifts from her, her brother, her parents and grandparents!
I have texted Greenbee - she has enough to worry about without worrying about me right now so I have put her mind at rest.

Blimey, I can't keep up with this thread - so I won't try and catch up. Hugs to all who need them.

Just been trying to watch the Brothers Grimm film - what a load of tosh!

Not done much today, but I did vac everywhere, and I've sorted out all the recipes I had lying around on bits of paper. Now they are all filed away neatly (I have a lever arch file full :eek: - not to mention all my cookery books ). I'm NOT going to buy any more cooking books, or print off any more recipes. I'm going to try and make everthing in my file (not all at once of course) and get rid of the recipes I don't like/want/need - how many chocolate cake recipes does anybody need .

Tomorrow DD1 has a sports day so we are all going into town. I need to pick up anothe rpressie for DS.

I think I'll away to my pit now. Sorry if I've made any errors in this - I haven't got my specs on and I can't actally see anything on the screen except a big blur :rotfl:
  • I feel xmas-y, DH finished work today. That's brill as he had told me it might be tomorrow, and means we can go do the food shop together tomorrow while DS1 is at nursery. :jHe was in at 8 this evening, but since then i have made Jamaican Jerk Chicken with coconut rice and pineapple salsa which was so yummy, and DH washed up, and we had a joint effort at cleaning the fridge and getting a few bits put away.

I need to go and do some clothes sorting in a moment as DH got DS2 the 9-12 month clothes out of the loft, and i started to sort it all, but it all went a bit wrong and i left it all on our bed, so i need to sort before bedtime. I'm just having some chocolate and a bottle of beer to psych myself up.

I haven't read any of the thread today, so sorry if i am not commenting on anyone who needs a hug or anything like that. I hope you all have it coming together.

Things i need to remember to do this week:
    • buy DS2 a stocking
    • do Mr M food shop
    • take sausage meat out of freezer and make sausagemeat/stuffing balls
    • take turkey out of freezer to defrost
    • arrange meeting up with A to swap presents
    • crack on with washing/ironing
    • pack for visiting ILs
    • [STRIKE]write a cheque for DS1 for half day nursery on Tue[/STRIKE], take him and pick up
    • buy a TV guide, set up digi box to record things when we are away
    • make up the stockings
    • pay cash in the house into the bank
    • sort out cash transfers so nothing boings when DDs go out when we are away
    • [STRIKE]sort out extra days at cattery as DH has longer off work than i thought.[/STRIKE]
    • change both kids beds

Could you use some sellotape or bluetak to hold it shut?
