    Done tons today,

    towels folded and put away

    bathroom bin emptied

    disposed of fruit

    slowcooker soup from leftover veg

    DW X 3

    WM X 4

    Handwash bra's.

    Potato bake made.

    Car moved

Triker's got the hang of this... it's all in the presentation... you need to make sure your list doesn't undersell the amount of work you've done... So here goes:

    Ironed 10 work shirts

Sorted desk (put away some stuff, restacked the rest for next time ;) )

    Collected port

    Roasted vegetables

    Did washing up

    Loaded DW

Ironed a load of other bits...

    Washed towels

Froze fruit juice & roasted vegetables

    Dried towels

Put towels away in airing cupboard

    Wiped kitchen surfaces

    Sorted rubbish

Cleared out fridge and wiped grubbiest bits

    Put out recycling

    Put out rubbish

Is it any wonder I'm exhausted ;)
  • Hi Ladies! Sorry haven't popped in lately but all the work over the summer paid off and house isn't looking halkf bad still! Few jobs this week - but mainly done - pressies wrapped and under the tree, stockings located along with glow sticks to guide Santa in - don't ask!! Will look at the list when I have time tomorrow and really cross off the rest - had a good splurge on Friday before kids finished so house is mainly clean - will jsut be kitchen when I've finished cooking before Christmas Day onslaught.

Wishing one and all well - enjoy if you can - ((hugs)) if the festive season is too fraught for some of you - quite understand - only just getting round to enjoying Christmas after 15 years of traumas! Love the kids faces - gets to make it all worthwhile.

    Kindles!

gryfon - okay, big hugs for now. Let the children sort themselves out, they probably won't kill each other. Or you can do what I once did in desperation, I wrapped them up warm, put them outside and locked the door for ten minutes. They yelled for five, then went off and played for ages. I may have scarred them for life, but they look okay to me. (Maybe wait until daylight though! Try putting them in their bedrooms instead.)

I've noticed that you set yourself very big challenges, and pretty much no-one ever succeeds with those. Instead, break it up into chunks and do it a bit at a time. Don't say you'll sort the whole house, but just one shelf or drawer at a time. You will get there, promise. Don't ever make these decisions at New Year either!

Longterm pain like you've been having is depressive (I have a friend who is a chronic back pain sufferer) and if you've recently had a virus, then that can make you feel low, let alone this time of year when expectations of mum are unreasonably high.

Anything at home right now that you can treat yourself to? Long scented bath, quick glass of wine, chocolate, favourite film or book??
